Where is the European wine sector heading with standards that are becoming ever more stringent, higher production costs, the strong euro against the dollar and the threat arising from the new wine producing countries?

The V World Wine Forum will take an in-depth look at thissituation and will analyse the possible measures wine producerscan take to cope with these circumstances, stressing the importance of new sales and marketing methods, trainingand new business based on viticulture, and more.

The V World Wine Forum will initiate a debate regarding the measures that should be taken to guarantee the survival of the European wine sector faced with fierce competition from the global model and other factors that could lead to the disappearance of the wine sector as we know it today.

The V World Wine Forum is structured round three main areas of activity:

1. Analysis and debate centre

- Opinions and perspectives from experts and researchers.

2. Meeting point

- Business meetings, and a drive to promote an international organisation to defend the interests of the European sector.

3. Knowledge fair

- Presentation of research efforts and exchange of innovative ideas that can be implemented and used by the wine producing sector and other related sectors.
