Orwine Project

Encounter about organic viticulture

Under the aegis of the 6th World Wine Forum, an encounter with the Orwine project will be held. The Orwine project draw together various bodies involved in Organic Farming and seeks to promote the development of socially and environmentally compatible techniques for obtaining quality organic wines, as well as the legal framework with a scientific base within the sphere of organic wines.

In the session, to be held on 25 April, the results gathered to date will be presented and provisional recommendations for the European wine regulations drafted by the Orwine project consortium will be debated.

Aims
  • To make known the work being carried out within the Orwine project.
  • To share and exchange the results of winery experiments in organic winemaking.
  • To discuss recommendations for defining European regulations on organic wine growing.
