Introduction

The World Wine Forum held every two years in La Rioja has become a key event for wine sector professionals who are interested in getting to know the ins and outs and challenges of a constantly evolving sector.

The Forum will once more provide an opportunity for debate on all areas of the sector, particularly considering the crossroads it is at due to the constant need to attract new consumers in an increasingly saturated market, the evolution of grape-growing and winemaking practices, and changes in the legal framework governing the sector.

The VI World Wine Forum will cover all these areas and will pay special attention to economic, marketing and advertising aspects so that the sector can learn more about markets, find the right instruments to encourage the responsible consumption of wine, and open up new market niches. This sixth edition will also look at new developments in viticulture, oenology and legislation on the winemaking sector.

On this occasion the VI World Wine Forum will be held together with the “Grandes de La Rioja” promotion. As well as being attended by key international journalists and experts, it will be an opportunity for congress participants to get to know the most notable Rioja wines.
